2010 marks the opening of the "Open Your Eyes" to showcase the work of Fine Art Photographer Allan Ivy, who in partnership with his wife Francie are the new owners of Mesa RV Resort. Allan will be conducting regular Workshops from the new venue as well as Slide Shows every other week at the resort Rec-Hall. The introduction of these shows proved to be very popular last summer. Allan will continue with the Slide Shows right through winter. Check out the Events Calendar for details.

The ice on Blue Mesa Lake is melting fast, this reflection caught my eye.
Great Sand Dunes National Park is 3 hours south of Gunnison and is a fantastic place to visit. Nestled against the rugged Sanre de Cristo mountains.
Just north of the border with New Mexico I came across this Unusual Church.
In the heart of the grain belt.
This was taken on the same day as the photo below on the way back into Gunnison.
I came across this old Caddy for sale on a trip to see the Bank Manager in Grand Junction. They had some rare snow that stuck. Moral of the story don't visit your bank manager without your camera.

"Cottonwood in Snow" Since I took this it has been snowing on and off for a week and we now have a foot and a half in the park.
" Reaching for the Sky" First snow in Hartmans brings a different dimension to a tree I have photographed several times this season, every time different!

Blue Mesa Lake is frozen over! This was taken standing out in the middle on the ice at sunset while talking to some ice fisherman who spend days out on the lake fishing through holes drilled through the ice which was a foot thick at this point.
