Welcome to Mesa RV Resort, the finest RV Resort and
campground in the Gunnison Valley.
If you are interested in discovering one of the nicest campgrounds in
Colorado- look no further, you've found Mesa RV Resort, formally Mesa Campground. We are conveniently located 3 miles west of Gunnison on US
Highway 50 and only minutes away from Blue Mesa Reservoir and Curecanti
National Recreation Area. Best of
all, the Gunnison River is literally within walking distance from the resort.
Mesa RV Resort in Gunnison, Colorado is a family run,
friendly campground ideally situated between Gunnison and Blue Mesa Lake with everything to make your vacation perfect! We offer clean, grassy,
neatly landscaped and beautifully shaded sites with full hookup. We have both open and shaded sites
depending upon your preference. We offer 30 and 50 amp service, Luxury and
Luxury Hot Tub sites as well as a number of pull through sites. We are pet
friendly, our restrooms and showers are clean and we have a wonderful
laundromat. Last summer we added two Cabins, and two Tipis to the resort. We
upgraded the internet service to free wifi and we now also offer communal fire
pits and a small playground area. Our club house is
well utilized by all our guests for playing cards, dominoes, craft and general
activities and we are proud of our new Rec-Hall for larger functions such as
our popular Potlucks and evening slideshows.
Gunnison lies in a large valley
surrounded by mountains. National forests, parks, lakes and trout streams make
Gunnison one of Colorado’s premier camping paradise. Tourists come to Gunnison
for many reasons, but all come to enjoy one of the finest summer climates in
America. Daytime high temperatures rarely reach 85 and the humidity is very
low. Evenings are cool enough for very comfortable sleeping.
Life in Gunnison centers around
mountain-fed waters. Trout and Kokanee salmon fill some 2000 miles of streams
and lakes available to the public. Fishing is bountiful and attract anglers
from all over the world. Golfing is another popular activity. Dos Rios and
Crested Butte Golf Clubs are both challenging 18 hole courses that are always
fun. Our friendly workampers can offer you information, maps and brochures on a
variety of other activities such as hiking, and biking trails, rafting trips, 4
wheeling, horseback riding and sight seeing trips. With over half of Gunnison
County being public land, there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy their
favorite activities.
Few places on earth offer such a
remarkable combination of breathtaking beauty, diversity of activities and
genuinely friendly people as the Gunnison-Crested Butte area. Hopefully you
will choose Gunnison as part of your vacation plan. If so stay with us at Mesa
RV Resort. Reservations are recommended for the busiest months of June, July
and August. But, don’t discount fall camping when it is less crowded, the
weather is superb, fishing is good and the fall colours are beautiful.

Page is proving to be very popular and reservations have been coming through
thick and fast.
The 2009 season
was a tremendous success with lots of fun activities on the resort. Our latest
news gives you a flavor of what is going on in the Resort. We are now
looking forward to a new season. This is going to be a great year for
Photography with our new Allan Ivy
Photography Gallery which opened it's doors on Memorial Day Weekend. Allan's
first exhibition
at the Gunnison Gallery will be held in the month of August. Don't miss
this great photo opportunity!
We also know the area - the best hunting, the best
fishing in Blue Mesa Reservoir, the best 4 wheeling, the best rafting, the best
mountain biking - we can give you the information you need. We're easy to find,
just three miles west of Gunnison
on US Highway 50 on route to Blue Mesa Lake.

The cabins come complete with kitchenette, bathroom, main
bedroom with queen bed, living room with two double futons and deck with table
and chairs.
Last year we added Tipis to our resort. We offer
an 18 foot and a 20 foot Tipi
that can each comfortably sleep 4.
